End of Mar doing a NC-OK-TX-NM-CO-NC trip, with the majority of it on backroads. Looking for street tire recommendations. Currently have K60’s, which will be ready for replacement by Mar. They work nicely on fire trails etc, on the highway and mountain twisties in my experience tend to slide a bit in the rain on highways.

My Tenere is a 15ES.

Appreciate your input...thx.

OK stop is in Medicine Park, for the 1st Annual Small Mountian Street Taco Run. A replacement for the Moonshine Burger Run. All are welcome. April 13, 2019.

I'm running the Roadsmart 3's now and I don't have but a couple of thousand miles on them so I can't say how long they'll last, but I would expect them to go 10-12K. I can say they handle very well and they are quiet (so far). I tried the Conti's and they were junk at 4K and my last set were the Anakee 3's. I liked the A3's but they were so loud that I couldn't stand it any more and took them off at about 4K. They were wearing great, but the loud howl was terrible.

My Roadsmart 3 rear tire is nearing the end of useful life. At 6800 mi and with less than 1 mm of depth remaining to the wear bars, I estimate the tire will finish at ~7500 mi. Good running street tire IMO, but disappointingly low mileage considering the hype. It's about the same as what I've gotten from Pilot Road 4's on the S10. Anakee 3's have gone a lot farther for me , ~12K on several back tires. They pair well with PR4 Trails on the front.
I've also tried Mitas E07 Dakars on the S10, but replaced them at 10K miles after the center wore smooth on the rear.

Another member, Fennellg, was speaking on another thread about the Dunlop Trail Smarts, and how they have a rebate going on. He liked them so far; advised they were good on wet/dry. Looking at them, they are designed for 90/10 street/dirt. I too ride predominately on the street, but use a 90/10 tire, just in case. I'm using the A41s right now. I like them, good grip, and turn in. I can't give any feedback on rain manners though.

I very much liked the Michelin PR4s for street use; they stuck really well both wet and dry, and I got decent mileage from them (better than the stock BW or the original Tourances, and equal to the Tourance Next). I just put on a set of Metzeler Roadtec 01s; I don't have enough miles on them yet to form a good opinion.

Still run the Mitas E-07, even though most of my mileage is on the road. They don't have the noise of the Anakee 3s, I can touch a peg if I want so have all the performance I need, I'll get 12,000+ miles which beats most, and they are much more sure-footed on gravel. Every once in a great while they'll slip on wet pavement but are closer to street tires than the K60s in rain performance.

It seems the original Mitas-E-07s aren’t available any more. What is your next go to tire? I am planning on going to Death Valley this spring and am wondering what a suitable tire to run would be?

If I KNOW it will be pavement only PR4 or current offering. The bike loved them tires!

Mitas E07 mostly. I will be trying the plus next. Hope it is as good. Great mileage, good handling, good on gravel.
