stores in chicago and michigan

Anybody have any good recommendations for stores with good apparel in between port huron michigan and chicago? I'm specifically looking for gaerne boots and heated gear. I'm doing a last minute trip to wyoming, and anyplace i call in toronto can't get stock before I want to leave.

My best advice would be drop south to Columbus, Ohio and visit the Iron Pony store. Check out the web site for what they stock and you can visit to try on boots ect. Toledo to Columbus is about 2 hours.

On the heated gear see if Gerbings (which I highly recommend their stuff) will overnight you one of their heated liners...either to your house or a place along your route

Sure, Iron Pony has tons of stuff, was in there couple hours one evening and didn't find anything that worked to purchase. Aren't they mostly a close-out warehouse selling old products? The salesperson was telling me they had just done a trailer buy-out of old non current items to move quick.

Yeah, go with the Gerbings direct, better stuff than others out there.
