Good day all!

Hope you guys can help me...
I need to replace the steering head bearings on my 2013 Super Tenere. There is a decent 'notch' at the dead centre position.
I was just wondering if any of you had done this already, and if so, do you have the bearing numbers, so that I may source them??

Thanks very much! Have a great day!

Yes I have for others. I've seen the bottom race cracked. Pretty easy to replace. Make sure to replace both bearings and top and bottom races. I just ordered the stock yamaha replacement items. Online or your local shop.

If you have trouble getting the OEM bearings another source for the bearings would be All Balls # 22-1001 The bearing sizes are bottom-30x52x16 & top-28x52x16 and may be available at a lot of sources.

The Tenere shares it's neck bearings with several other dirt bikes in the Yamaha lineup all the way back to the 80's with the only difference being the top seal. All Balls puts several seals in it's kit so one part number fits several applications. Another source would be Pivit Works kit # PWSSK-Y05-421. The bearings will work, but the seal is different.

Are the stock head bearings, ball bearings or tapered roller bearings? Just curious.

I believe they are tapered roller. I would highly suggest the stock units top & bottom.
