When I first saw the title of the post, I took it as a humble brag....until I read the post; ouch. And you're right; there WERE more post/replies to this. More pics please.

Aahhh, thanks Boris. Not sure what happened there, but I recall using the phone once to post so it was probably finger trouble on my part. Will do a summary on the "big" thread.

Thanks for merging the two threads Mods.

Just to say that the S10 performed brilliantly on the trip (as we would expect of course), although it took a while to get used to the lower engine note after years of inline 4's, especially on the hairpin bends. The only thing I did to the bike was add a couple of psi to the front tyre, my average fuel consumption for the trip was 59.7 mpg(imperial) over 4074 miles. The mpg was probably helped as these days I cannot do long high speed runs due to ear/tinnitus issues so tended to cruise at 65-70 on longer straighter roads and then blast up the twisty bits.
The rear OE tyre is shot at 6k miles and the front not far behind.

My only very very slight disappointment is with the electronic suspension, I found the rear a bit soft and the front a bit firm at times. It would be great if we could adjust each end individually. I could get a good setting for one end but not both at the same time. I'm around 85kg kitted so not too heavy. Will have to look at moving the panniers forward and or do a bit of work on the rear spring/forks.

Now where to next......so much to see.....so little time.....

Your mileage also may have been influenced by the altitude. The higher you go, the better the mileage. Less air, tells the computer to feed less fuel. The down side....less power.
