I spent 1 and 1/2 hours chopping ice in front of my garage door as it never sees the sun. The rest of my driveway is dry and so are the streets and highways where the sun can get to them. I didn't go for a ride on Sunday when I got rid of the ice (too pooped from all that ice chopping). Yesterday (Monday) I see the local forecast included a "Winter Storm Warning". Why me?!?!?!worse.png

This a two sides of the same coin thing. The kaptain's storm is going through here as a cold front. It's going to drop our high, just for Thursday, to 77F. Just for a day, and it's back into the 80s. The closest thing to cold & ice will be the hail inside the storm.

Jeez..... Thanks! :D

Just about to head out to do some snow clearing in the driveway. So far it's been 38mm of water which works out to around 38cm or 15 inches of snow. Now we have to (unfortunately, as I want to ride, but NOT go for a SWIM in my basement) hope for a slow and steady melt again. So far it looks promising with the first day of above freezing to be Monday and it will remain relatively cool for the week before temps start to ramp up. The last thing we need now is a rapid melt and more flooding.

Same feeling here with the weather. I’ve seen snow in April before but not every day for a week.
At work we put the snow plow back on the truck. I had more ride time in February than so far in April.

This year I think we'll have to wait for May before we can go riding.... Last year it was the end of March.

And just to top things off, this is tomorrows forecast:

I’ve got two x 100 year old oak trees in my garden. They shed leaves in fall. They produce acorns every two years and last year we had none. So this year I’ll be shovelling tons of the things.
