I purchased this set of Hippo Hands for my Versys (with hand guards) a couple of years ago. When I got the S10, I went the heated gear route so no need for these guys any more. The Versys had heated grips, but the backs of my hands and thumb still froze. With Hippo Hands installed, I could ride at any temp in my summer gloves and be nice and toasty. They are a snap to install in a minute or two. When off, they fold up flat for easy storage in panniers. These are in excellent condition. Only used a handful of times in dry weather.

Here is a link if you want to see what they look like on a Tenere. http://www.hippohands.com/YAMAHA.htm

Must note - my set does not have the 3M reflective stripe. Must be something that was added later.

Asking $50 shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Send me a PM if interested. Thanks for looking.

Re: FS - Set of Hippo Hands

Bump to the top for a great low cost mod to lengthen the riding season. The 3m tape is an add-on for extra $$ at the time of purchase.

If you have heated grips, they only add to the effectiveness. And, if you don't have heated grips, just as good.

I bought these for the November Fall Colors ride in Arkansas and I couldn't have done the trip without them, even with heated grips.

I think model numbers were added after I bought them. If memory serves, they were only available in traditional sizes when I bought these (small, medium, large). From the website (which is not the most user friendly), they list the same HH1200 model for both the Versys with hand guards and the S10.
I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for the bump. I agree - for the right application, these are just the ticket.

Re: FS - Set of Hippo Hands

For what it's worth, these look like my HH1200 i got in November. Only thing these have mine don't is the additional "sleeve" around the handlebar.

I think they're customizations for specific bikes is still pretty limited, and wouldn't be surprised if they only added a few more small tweaks to the original small, medium, large they used to offer.

Save yourself 40 bucks if you're in need - you won't be disappointed. Just shy of $90 retail if memory serves me right.
