SOLD!

For sale: Never installed Seat Concepts front foam, rear foam, and front cover. (Rear cover is missing)

Front cover is gripper top/carbon fiber vinyl sides.

If you want to install the rear, you will either need to make your own cover, reuse your original cover (I don't know this will work), or source a rear cover from Seat Concepts ($30 last I checked).

The deal: Seat Concepts sells the Front w/ front cover for $200 shipped, the front with cover and rear cover to match for $255 shipped, and the front foam with rear foam and both covers for $355 shipped.

I figure that way you are getting the front package for less than retail, and have the foam for the rear if you want it. If you get the cover for the rear from Seat Concepts you have the whole package for about $200 rather than $355.

Payment via PayPal (F&F preferred). Shipping will be quick from Glendale CA. Or pick up local if you are close.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, by the way, I'm selling because I sold my Tenere. They came with the bike when I bought it but I did not use them. I've held onto them thinking I might get another Tenere and would install. That seems unlikely at this point.

I should point out that I also have the Seat Concepts on my FJR1300 and love it! It's a little flat and sits slightly lower, but the firmness actually adds comfort because the squishyness isn't shifting me around and bowing up between my legs. I'm very happy with Seat Concepts on my FJR and would be installing these if I were to buy another Tenere.

Again, these are new. No holes in the vinyl on the front cover.

The first SC kit I had was a front only...now I have both frt & rr foams n covers. The SC rr foam has a kickup at the front which kinda acts like a small backrest for the rider...& ..of course...it keeps the passenger from sliding fwd.
As suggested...buy everything for sale here at $160 & get a $30 rear cover from SC....you wont regret it.

No, I think I'll have to pass on that, Lee. But thanks for the offer!

What is the purchase date of this seat? They have made a few versions for the Super T and the newest version on the website is the wider design. It's hard to tell but this appears to be the second generation seat that is not wider in the rear but addresses the "slide forward" problem. It also appears to be the vinyl type material on the trim not the carbon fiber (which I think has small texture type lattice work but I can't tell from the photo) Thanks!

Hey dmulk,

I don't know the original purchase date, and I don't know which incarnation it is (I actually didn't know there were different versions; this is news to me). Sliding, however, shouldn't be an issue due to the "gripper" top. Ymmv.

I can tell you that the vinyl on the sides which I have described as "carbon fiber vinyl" is the textured/lattice style material. You're right; it doesn't show up well in the pics.

I hope that helps!

(Edit: Seat came to me with a Tenere I bought and later sold, so I'm not the original buyer, hence not knowing the date it was originally purchased.)

Im thinkin the new wider front seat jus came out.....SC has been sending me emails about them
What does the email say? This is the first time I've heard of a newer version and it's not mentioned in the seat description. The "old" version was also wider than the stock seat and eliminated the problem of sliding forward.

The emails didnt specifically mention the Tenere...only that there was a new wider XL Comfort seat available
