Good deal on a low mile '13, but a GREAT deal if the accessories fit the buyer's taste. Good luck with the sale.

How did you get a 14-year Y.E.S. warranty? ;)
Good catch, probably 2023.

And Yamaha has been offering an additional 2 years of coverage after the first 4 years of YES, but they wait until you're at the end of that 4 year YES warranty to offer it. D&H Cycles can still take care of you when you add the additional 2 years. Pretty awesome, a year of original, unlimited mileage warranty, then 6 years of YES extended, unlimited mileage warranty.

My bad 2018
I will correct that tonight
Not as good, but still means the buyer can add more years of YES up to that expiration date and it's transferable.

That might be a good selling point if i up it the additional 2 years.
Although I have not had to use the warranty.
It is a Yamaha you know.
Do I have to so that or can the new buyer do that as well?

I would double check, but my understanding is that as long as it's still under warranty, that can be transferred and the owner can add more up to the max of 4 years. The YES is available during the 1 year factory warranty period for 1 to 4 years. When I was approaching the end of my 4 years of YES coverage, I received a letter from Yamaha offering me another 2 years for an additional cost. I called D&H and they were able to sell me that additional 2 years for a better price than Yamaha was offering me direct.

I don't think the final 2 years of YES, over the originally possible 1-4 years, is available until the end of the original YES. Whomever has the bike then, with the warranty transferred into their name, should get that offer from Yamaha. You can probably call the Yamaha Customer Service at 1-800-962-7926 to check. You can go HERE to check with your VIN to see if offers are available for your bike.

So- how much better is the new GS? I'm fence sitting, about to pull the trigger. Thought I wanted the S10, now I see the reviews for the 1250, I am re-thinking again.

Haven't got it yet.
Being shipped as we speak.
It's a 1200 not a 1250
Not keen on buying first model year of anything.
But that's just me.

If the bike listed here is sold please change the title of your thread.

Enjoy the GS. I enjoy all four of mine except when the charging system fails completely in the Yukon and there isn't a BMW dealer in site, but plenty of Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda and KTM dealers.
