This is pretty empty for me and shows the bike I've not touched since last year, for the theme of the thread. (KTM 350 XCFW) The Tenere was outside for this shot and usually sits where the red boat was at.

 I'm not OCD, but that would drive me crazy. . . . and, my wife would stroke out. :D
ok. so in my defense, that's a 2 car wide, almost 2 car deep garage. its cluttered but oddly functional. In the back left (facing) quarter, i've got everything in "stations" on wheels. i have a full woodworking table top station that contains a tablesaw, router, jointer, planer, chop saw, and all associated accessories to make custom cabinetry (i don't do custom cabinetry, but well, i like tools). I have a milling machine, lathe, CNC machine, sandblaster, bandsaw, drill press, belt sanders and a small assortment of metal related items, the front half of the shop is dedicated to motorcycles and car tinkering, all equipment set up with mobile vaccum capability. there is also a full custom electronics lab, in the far back corner where I normally build electronics prototypes for work, but lately people have been bringing me TVs and gaming boxes to fix blown capacitors and other crap.

So its kind of a mess to the untrained eye, but if I slide all the stations back into their homes i can fit both mine and my wife's snowmobile with room to spare

when things get bad, and I need space, or i'm sleeping on the couch because I bought another toy, I have 120,000 sq ft manufacturing shop to offload my junk to, but when I do that I just end up spending more time at work and not at home with those that mean a lot to me, like my Tenere

edit: i am MASSIVELY OCD and have ADHD.. the workshop changes it's look roughly every 2 months. this time i've removed the drywall and raised the ceiling height 2 feet by taking out the false ceiling and insulating the room above into it's own little insulation cocoon. I hate how it looks, not going to lie, but Its only me out there working and things take time when only 1 person enjoys playing with tools and toys

i have the exact same drill press in a box waiting for restoration :D mine is the A.R. Williams branded version imported into Canada for the Canadian Military.. as much as i love the original motors on these old gals, i've started putting treadmill motors on everything.. 3-5hp DC motors with speed control and auto speed correction yay!

Mr Relic, I probably already know the answer due to the number you’ve had………..how do you rate the bigger V-Strom, particularly in comparison to the Super Tenere. Reliability, handling, economy, tank range etc. Oh, and ground clearance, as I recall reading somewhere that they are prone to touching down if pushing on through the twisties. I have no idea if that is true, just something I read.
I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for the bigger V-Strom, and particularly like the newest version.

TIA
Boris

Hey Boris
I like the 14up Strom 1000s cuz theyre more "sporty" feelin than the Ten & appx 75lbs lighter too. Its my hotrod
The Ten is the traveller with cruise & the shaft. More comfy too
The Ten also goes slightly further on a tank (5.3gal vs 6.1 on Ten) Ten mpg is slightly better too.

Ive never had problems with parts touchin pavement when cornerin on the Stroms....either 650 or 1000....& both have the AdventureTech peg lowerin kits installed....std height suspensions.

Ive owned 10 Stroms since 2003 (1st 02 DL1000 in town bac then) then an 03 1000 for a bit switching to 80k+ on an 04 650 & another 80k+ on an 06 650 with an 05 1000 thrown into the mix for a bit.. jus for fun.
A 2011 650 collected appx 30k before I found the 1st Ten...a lo mile 2013 all farkulated. Rode that Ten for a year & 20k then found a 2014 Ten w the magic buttons. Since the 11 Strom was sold.... I immediately missed it so bought a 2012 DL650....which I rode a bit..then traded

Mine's my GrandPa's Delta
Great idea about the motors and broken treadmills pop up for free on Craigslist all the time.

exactly. free treadmill = good motor, with speed controller and RPM meter. I have one on my antique milling machine which had a 2.5hp motor back in the 1940s when it was made and the thing barely notices when i crash the end mill into the table

This is about as cluttered as I'm allowed to let it get.

Wow, I would not know what to do with all of that real estate. My Garage is like 20% of yours (excluding the toys). Plus, no matter how clean or organized I make it, the wife hoards her garbage in the garage. Laundry, old clothing, pots and pans, books, yuck. I need a man cave / garage. Maybe I can rent an airplane hangar :) ?
