:'(

I just put them on the other afternoon. I should have looked them over a little better in my haste to get them on. I noticed on delivery the left side cardboard box was beat up pretty good but I simply got caught up in the install and over looked the inspection part. Light was shining just right in the shop yesterday afternoon and I dicovered the ever so small ding on the lid edge. So I go look at the box it came out of and yep impact mark on cardboard box says it all. So what should I do take it back to the dealer and request a replacement, suck it up and move along or ask the dealer for some compensation like maybe a free bag liner and I buy the other? Man I hate to have to dig that lock set out of that bag to put in a new one. I suspect these aluminum clad type bags dent very easily so be for warned. Funny thing is it says "FRAGILE" in big red stickers all over the friggin shipping box. Not sure if they will have to eat this box cost if I get a replacement I certainly don't won't to cause the dealer to lose any money they have been good to me. I guess they would have to make a claim to the shipper. I got the bags tuesday and just discovered the dent weds. today is thurs. so it may be too late.

Depends how much it bothers you. Realistically, you'll probably get a few more dents along the way. Put a sticker over it and call it a day. YMMV.

If you have a good relationship with the dealer then it can't hurt to give them a call and see what they say about it. It's not like you kicked the box yourself, you just want a nice new case to go with your nice new bike. It's understandable.

It bothers me. A sticker in this spot would look strange and unbalanced. I am sure more dents will come especially on the front. I hate that you cannot get anything delivered anymore that does not have some form of damage. Shipping companies need to be held accountable and this would stop. This seems to happen to me a lot and I know I am not the only one.

I will go talk with them today since I rode the bike to work and they are only 5 minutes from here. Something small and free might make me forget :)

I have a very good relationship there and this is exactly how I feel.

I had a damaged box on delivery. There was no problem with the dealer who organised a complete case as replacement.

Don't worry about the lock change over as it is fairly easy, contact me if you need any help.
