Hey guys just got my first (used t12) got 47k on it and im going to do the manual cct before i drive it. Ordered the graves and a gasket. My slave is leaking on the case too so i have a few questions about that.

When doing the mcct do i need to drain the oil before removing the case cover? Looks like a small sump/pan and was planning on doing it in the living room dont want oil all over haha.

Gunna wedge the chain guide to keep tension on the chain so the cams dont rotate and change timing. What about the gas tank and air box are they gunne be in the way other than lifting the tank?

My slave cylinder is leaking still not sure from where doesnt seem to be the banjo tho. Does anyone sell rebuild kits or seals? Otherwise ill have to find a oem or aftermarket one thats a direct fit.

You don’t have to drain the oil to remove the clutch cover, I don’t think airbox will be in the way also. Hope this helps.AE4FB566-F6DD-463B-A861-ED29EA205C6B.jpeg

I just went through this with a friends slave cylinder. Nope, yamaha want you to buy the whole unit. This was about a month ago. The part is back ordered ‘indefinitely’. He ended up buying a “better” one from Off The Road in Germany.
That slave cylinder works really well.
