I installed my ACD racing skid plate and Alt rider crash bars a couple weeks ago. I had no instructions and was winging it the whole time. First things first in this combination install the crash bars first they will go behind the skid plate. Second putting the spacers in the center stand took some work being I could not take the spring off in the right side. Lastly the spacers for the skid plate on the front are a very tight fit and it took me using a flat head screw driver as a lever to get space to fit the spacer. Overall it took me about 2 1/2-3 hours, now understand I have no instructions and this was my first time ever installing anything myself. If you have any questions about my install please ask I can answer them. Sorry this is not detailed as it was my first time and my focus was on not screwing up. I have included pictures of the finished product.

Good job.
2 great products and now a much more crashworthy ADV machine.

Time to head for the dirt!

I installed my Altrider Bars yesterday.
UPS just notified me that my ACD skid plate is at the front door.
I think I'm going to wait on the skid plate until I do my 600 mile service and install it after the oil change.

to the OP.. looks great!
Do you think that is you ground some off the spacers (or thinner spacers) to compensate for the thickness of the brackets for the bars that it would have gone on easier?
I'm still on the fence about doing the threaded rod type install instead of the bolts.

don't be on the fence. it's virtually impossible to line up the many items that bolt holds in place (for my givi crash bars, skid plate etc. I cut studs to lenght, set them with red loctite, and never worried about it. Install is easy on off.

ya.. gonna do it. I just ordered up the assorted stuff to do it. I looked at the big box stores yesterday for the M12x1.25 hardware and didn't see what I needed. This way I don't have to run around for it.

I gave noticed several people talking about studs I have no clue how to do them and I just made what I had work I did not use any loctite or anything else because I could not get clear answers from anyone. I eventually gave up and just put my stuff on, both items I have had for close to 6 months if not more. Time will tell if everything will hold. Also I did not torque my bolts down either being 2 dealerships could not give me the torque specs. As for oil changes I am leaving that up to the dealer let them deal with the skid plate.
