Site Upgrade Coming Soon

I've finally got my ducks in a row in order to update the site software. It's long overdue but time has been at a premium for me for the past few weeks.

The changes are not extensive, mainly it's keeping up with current software versions so that things don't suddenly come crashing to a halt around here. Some things that will be noticeable:

1. Updated Media Gallery with direct upload and embedding into topics as you create them.
2. New version of the Member Map that fixes some issues that have been reported.
3. Slightly updated version of the Database with a few fixes and a few new functions.
4. TapaTalk compatibility.

That's it for the things you guys will see. I'm not sure when the site will be down, it'll be sometime in the next few days. The site will be up during the upgrade, but you won't be able to use it. You'll know.

I think the issue with iPad is with iPad.......... I cannot upload a picture on iPad to a forum or attach to an email. Not impressed. My next tablet will be android based.

No, iRod is not the problem. It's nature of the iPad beast. I really do like a tablet, but I wish now I had not sprung for an iPad.

Yes, we're back up.

One issue that I need to resolve, the Video gallery is throwing an error. Other than that I think we're good to go. I just activated Tapatalk, going to test it out now.

EVERYBODY: please post in this thread if you see anything odd (other than the aforementioned Video Gallery error).

Tapatalk works. I'm not a big fan of it (yet), but it's there for those who have asked for it.

If you need to search for it in the Tapatalk directory, the easiest thing to do is first search for "tenere," then scroll all the way to the bottom of the search results list and it's called "Yamaha Super Tenere Forum."

It's not that pricey, so I may give it a try. So far, all looks good after the upgrade, at least I have not noted anything weird (except maybe one or two of our members)...

Ha, well that's good to hear. I'm still trying to diagnose the video bug.

Another upgrade coming soon, we're moving to a new host! One thing at a time though...
