has next time arrived? LOL just wondering if you’ve use this and how well it works for you.
No, I have not yet had a chance to try this tool. It's basically fashioned after the SST in the Yamaha service manual but I did not bother to trim it down to an attractive shape as I have limited fabrication capability in my garage. I expect it should work fine in spite of my small mismatch of the slot to the circle.

The first poster: good job ! Ive been there before ! Ive had some close calls on parts slipping and almost shooting across the shop. Make sure you wear eye protection incase something slips off and shoots or pops, there can be lots of tension on "things" !

I was looking to buy a commercial unit on the market and after doing homework they are all to wussy- I just whipped one up.
Added nylon internal guides, roller bearing thrust washers, over sized 5/8" internal screw. No matter the pressure- its butter. I can easily do the work and adjust or re adjust the top cap position very easy.
