Side Cases included?

Stupid question: Are the side cases included with the bike in the US Market for the 2012 Tenere'? Seems like I read somewhere that were going to be included the first year.. but optional the 2nd year. Maybe that was Europe?

That was the first year in Europe and it was a package deal with wind deflectors & such.
