Decided to get a Givi Trekker Outback 42L top case to go with the stock side cases. Would have liked the matching Yamaha topper but I saved about 200.00 buying these from Twisted Throttle with free shipping. I like the look of the Givi's and they don't look out of place because the Yamaha bags are on the plain side so your eyes are more apt to notice the top case first. They fit an XL full face with room to spare.

I run SeaHorse SE-630 matching keyed lock cases mounted Givi racks and quick releases. The cases are big enough to carry what I need, small enough to not get in the way and the top case is low enough that I can carry a Rotopax fuel cell when needed. I have a quick release Givi fuel ring tank bag and water proof pack for passenger seat. Have same type of set up on wife's DR650.

They are not "Trey", but SW Motech Trax panniers.

I have the 37L Givi Trekker side cases, if I use them on both sides is my bike going to look unbalanced? It looks like using the larger case on the right side is what I need to keep it balanced looking.

I have two 48L cases, it does look unbalanced, but not super terrible. Well except for being the same width as a Smart Car. I can't remember where, maybe in this thread, but I remember seeing someone running dual 37L cases

I got my 2 37s on yesterday. Boy did the Givi instructions suck lol. If I hadn't installed a set before it would have been a lot harder. There was no diagram or text that said which bolt hole to use for the lower part on the left side and there were no instructions at all for the right (I guess they figure once you did the left you can figure out the right? The pictures sucked and were incomplete, luckily I have decent mechanical skills and have done it before so it wasn't a huge deal. I was chuckling to myself about it though.

Looking at it, I might get a 48 for the right side if I can find a used silver one or find the $400 to buy it new.

I didn't think to take a shot from the rear, but its definitely a bit unbalanced.

I thought long and hard on what pannier system to use. I'm not an experienced enough rider on one of these beasts to trust myself with the hard bags. So the Touratech pannier mounts and soft bags were a good choice. They also pack down when not in use. I keep my tools, straps and tire repair stuff in my Kriega top bag and small Pelican box.

For me the choice of which bags came down to money. My requirements were
1. Top loading
--Easiest to really fill up and use ALL of the space when I needed to carry a lot
2. Aluminum
--Durable and able to be taken off and carried like a suitcase (sorta)
3. Best price
--I NEEDED the bags but couldn't really afford them at the time so I needed to find the cheapest option of decent bags

SO for me, it came down to the Givi Trekker Outbacks. They were a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the other options. Also I liked the look a little better than the Touratechs, which are also fantastic bags and maybe a touch larger due to not having the rounded corners like the Givi's.

All 3 bags and mounts came out to like 1800 bucks but its been the best motorcycle money I have spent because I will have them for the rest of my riding life, transferring them from bike to bike. With these, my waterproof duffel that goes on the back seat and my tank bag, I can handle pretty much any trip I would ever do.
The only thing I would change, is now that I have the S10 and the left bag sticks out more, I might go for the larger right side case to even the look out and get me that little extra bit of space.

I run all 3 bags all the time because I carry a lot of crap with me, I like to be prepared for any situation I might run into (weather etc) and if I am running errands, man I can fit almost a week worth of groceries in these bags
