Packed for a weekend biker party. Mattress, tent, luggage roll.

And this is what's underneath it: Dynamic Motorcycle Accessories back rest and luggage rack. I'll be getting a rack with soft panniers as funds permit, but mattress and tent will not fit into a top case or pannier, anyway.

Always have back "bag" on with rain gear. Almost always have tank bag as well. I added a $5 Walmart six pack cooler for this 16 day trip. All my camping gear including coffee and stove fit in small pannier. Clothes, CPAP, tools, compressor, food, towel in big pannier.

Here is mine from a recent 4 day trip on the Smokey Mountain 500
I've been working to get everything off of the seat.
For this trip I only had the Kermit chair on the seat and I think I can eliminate that with one of the small fold up camp chairs

Here are a couple of tent options that fit in the panniers. I went with the Fly Creek 2 person. It only weighs 2.2lbs and also works for backpacking trips.

It's easy to pack this bike for solo camping, how about 2-up? I've done some touring with my wife and for that we use a Givi top box - very convenient. For 2-up camping though, the top box doesn't accommodate the of bulk tent, pads, sleeping bags, and such.

So here we are packed out for a camping over-nighter. More days would possibly mean more food, water, or different clothes, but basic equipment is the same for one or more days.

All packed up. That's a loosely stuffed, cheap poly-fill sleeping bag on top, acting as a backrest.
The Giant Loop, Coyote is borrowed off my WR250R. Brilliant idea, rides wonderfully in the rough country, pain in the ass to use, and the Coyote is too small for the S-10.

On top of the OEM paniers are L.L. Bean flat-bottom duffels - good quality brand, handy load spot for frequently used items. A Thermorest pad and 3-leg stool are under the GL Coyote. The GL bag holds a Big Agnes Lost Ranger sleeping bag, Q-Core pad, REI 2-man tent, 8'x8' tarp, and 2 camp pillows. Food, 2 2-liter water bottles, clothes, stove and sundry camping equipment ride in the paniers. The Wolfman Expedition tank bag goes on any ride beyond comuting. I highly recommend ROK Straps, another brilliant idea that's actually perfect. A couple pair of these and you can tie down anything easily. Seriously, it's like cheating to use ROK Straps.

A nice throne for Mrs. Boondocker. Harley Electra Glide passenger seat has got nothin' on this perch. :)

See, we really were camping.

It's good to know we can do this. Now to try for a 3-day weekend.
Hey can I ask the weight you would be carrying all up? and are you using the stock shock and how you had it set to take this weight, I'm heading south for 3 weeks 2 up and i'm loaded to full max load......

Loaded for camping, 2-up, I'm just under GVWR. Max payload is 461 lbs. and I'll be at 420-435 depending how much water and food I have to carry. Yes, I have weighed us in our riding gear and all the stuff we carry in the cases/bags. I run the Mitas E07 Dakar tires and a Stoltec revalved Penske 3-way shock with 2 springs (heavier fork springs too). The Penske shock preload adjustment is a PITA. On the shock, I use the 650 spring solo and install the 950 spring for heavy load. I can do the spring swap in about 45-minutes including preload and damping adjustments. I have notes for everything and refer to them since I only do this a couple times a year. For less payload, like 2-up touring with no camping, I'll still run the heavy spring but compensate with the shock adjustments. If we're 2-up with no luggage, I'll run the solo spring and might crank up the preload a couple of lines.

FWIW - We rented a BMW GSA with Dynamic ESA (automatically adjusting suspension) for an Edelweiss Pyrenees tour. Mrs. Boondocker said the BMW suspension was much nicer. Eh, whatever.
