After installing a new race tech spring is almost touching the swing. When installed everything I couldnt feel any play in the bolts. So thats why I didnt think maybe install the lower bolt a bit foward. Picture is of the st in its on its side stand. Spring is thicker for sure because its stiffer but per race techs sping rate they give there sping recommenations and required collars. Any thoughts would be great, I tried to look though the forums/google and couldnt find anything.20200506_172736.jpg

you can't alter the mount points so the springs not only thicker its wider in diameter by the looks, picking it's the wrong spring..?
I went by racetech guide so it should be tested to fit and they only offer one spring brand.

Which spring are you using? Is your bike an ES or standard? Only suggestion I can make is to flip over the spring. Sometimes they are tapered.

Is it the FRSP 3755 series? That is for the standard model. For the ES the direct fit spring is the SRSP 6022. I almost got that spring but it required too much preload to make it fit.

I am using what racetech site stays for springs SESP 802251100 . I didnt install it I went there with my shock and had them do it. Mine is standard 2016 60th ed.

There should be some numbers on the side of the spring. Just for the heck of it measure the diameter top and bottom. It might be as simple as flipping it over. If not, take a ride to RT and have them fit a proper spring. The guys there are really cool and will work with you.

I measured it as best I could since its still installed. But looks to be 2.5 inch on both ends. HOWEVER I did notice that gap on each side of the top looked even but on the bottom its much more forward A LOT.

What ever happened with this spring, did RaceTech fit the wrong spring initially and make it right after you brought that clearance issue to their attention?

He installed it correctly the problem was they didnt tested their springs for clearance and its looks 900lb is the most you can go on a stock non es stock. They even lied to me and said it was a spring was defective. I replied I know your lying and do you have the tein 900lb in stock?. Then they admitted they were lying. Turns out it's a 3rd party who makes them and you cant buy them as a consumer directly.

When installing a new aftermarket spring you need a bushing at the bottom to keep the spring centered on the lower spring seat. I have no idea if RT put one in or not as I don't see that section. If not installed the spring can sit off center and cause issues.
Here is a image of the 3 different springs and looking at the first post that is a Hypercoil spring not a Eibach.

Yes the collar was installed but RT didnt actually check if had any clearance issues . This is after the front desk guy lied to me saying it was a warranty issue and told him was lying and after he admitted to it. He stated that they didn't test any of there springs on the super tenere. I suspect who ever the manager is told him to lie.

So there is a collar at the bottom of the spring that is notched and is about 1.5mm thick?

Yup, *edit there's a collar but its install at top. It will still the same job of centering the spring. The clearance issue is the thickness as stated before.

Supposed to be that thin one at the bottom as well, Springs are not perfectly square and will wander off center if not held correctly on both ends.
Look at the RT site for your bike and you will notice there are two spacers listed not just one.
SPSC B5855N which should be at the bottom and SPSC P575512 which should be at the top.

I am not saying that is the answer but it should be there, Hyperco springs usually are a tad bigger in OD then Eibach so that plays part in it as well.

There website calls for one, there is a another one buts oem. Visionally it didn't matter because it didn't fit.
