Well England lost the Euro Final on penalties, I’m not a fan and I know little about football and I care little if England had won or lost, but Gareth Southgate and his young squad did extremely well, so much better than any other England team since 1966 and deserves our applause and thanks for the way this team has conducted itself and played the game.

So what right have these despicable scum bags, who claim to be England supporters, to abuse some of the finest footballers ever turned out by this country? Not only do these brave and loyal “fans” hide behind a keyboard but some of their kind have defaced a Marcus Rashford mural. This young man who has single handedly done more to try and prevent families suffering poverty than any Government or, for that matter, Premier Division football club. Shame on these people who claim to be English or British, flogging is too good for them!

I am Italian and I have to say that we played one half each...
Here the penalties we call them " the lottery" because there is no way to know which way they are going...
If England had won I honestly think they would have deserved it but it went another way instead...
It is just a game taken up to a professional level but just a game at the end of the day...
Those "supporters " are just brain dead and not very well educated...
Just My two cents.

I haven't been paying attention to the game. But, I've seen articles that look like they're trying to put the blame on one guy. I'm sure it's the same ol' s**t. . . . you can't do it, but you're gonna tell me, the one that is doing it, how it's supposed to be done. I combined two very well known phrases into "let he, who has walked a mile in my shoes, cast the first stone".

It's always amazed me when people talk s**t about a losing team. . . . as if that team got up that morning and said "I can't wait to lose today, it will be so enjoyable." Mistakes happen, learn from them.

I watch a lot of football and saw every game of the tournament. The two best teams were in the final and it was a shame to see it decided on penalty kicks. I won't get into the second half and what I perceived to be an error in terms of tactics by England, but there it is.

The treatment of some of the best footballers by some English fans is really disappointing. I've liked how the EPL has tried to directly address racism during the season, but it appears there's quite a few jerks out there who haven't got the message. I'm waiting for the lifetime bans or other measures to drop on these people, which really can't happen soon enough.

Rashford is a real credit to all athletes and has done more for others than about any. Certainly more than the jerks. They are parasites

Congratulations to Italy, they have an amazing record and an amazing team. As I said, I am not a football fan but I do hope that that Gareth Southgate is allowed to build on the team that he has put together. I do wonder why U.K. has 4 entirely separate football teams, (Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England), when no other country does this an I wonder if U.K. would have a better team if each of the 4 nations could contribute their skills and experience

You may as well toss a coin rather than go to penalties. Mind you, if I earned £150,000 a week (into my A. Footballer Ltd. company) and paid myself £5,000 a year salary and £95,000 in directors loans to avoid paying any UK income tax, I would make sure I took bloody good penalties. I might also think twice about the hypocrisy of campaigning for all other hard working taxpayers to pay for free school meals during school holidays

I assume that you are talking about Marcus Rashford? Personally, I don’t care if he misses every penalty kick he ever takes, I still think he has done an incredible service to the 14% of U.K. households, that’s around 8.4 million people, who are experiencing food poverty, a higher number than any EU nation and a figure every decent U.K. citizen should be ashamed of. U.K. tax payers should be paying more tax in order to guarantee a high quality health service for all and to give our older generation a decent quality of care in their later years and also to provide a high standard of education that is available for all.

I watched most of the games and have to say I was disappointed in the quality of the final. The Italy/Spain game was sensational, 2 really skillful teams that really wanted it, I didn't see the same in tje final.

What appalled me was England fans booing as the Italian team came out, it wasn't as bad as them previously booing through national anthems, the idea is you respect your opponents, it certainly happens in rugby.

Hey ho, roll on the World Cup.
