Hey guys, interested to hear what you paying for or paid for with your 10K service? I will probably end up doing myself but may talk myself into going to dealer! (only cause it's a couple of hours for the ride)

Cheers

Hey Paul

Had mine done just recently at my local dealer here in Melbourne - total was $279.45 (GST inclusive of course).

Included full oil change, new filter and a throttle body synchronisation.

My costs wouldn't compare well to yours, but if you know your dealer well, they might let you change your own oil and filter and gear oil. Keep receipts and take some pics. It will save you money in materials and labor. And you will maintain your warranty. They can to the rest. My dealer is very good about letting me do this. I did the 1,000 km myself. I didn't even have to take it in. I did kind of a humorous pictorial on it, and called it the Lubrication Odyssey. I think they enjoyed it. I did. Good luck. R ::26::

$35.00 dollars in Grahams shed.

It may get close to $280 if I decide I need a nice shiny torque wrench if I install an ECU reflash it may get BMW $$$ ;D

That is what I have done over time. I do my own and the money left over gets spent on good tools.

Sometimes I may take it in if it requires REALLY special tools.

Yeah I got quoted $250 (max) today but I like your thinking there Graham! I might invoice a dodgy character (myself) and present this to the department of war & peace and turn around with the cash and buy some new bling! haha............ I wouldn't do that to my bride...... or would I.. hmmm

Thanks for the replies to Q people's

Do it yourself. Nothing to do on this bike except change fluids. Only a 1 year warranty anyway and its Jap so just ride it. Now if it was a Beamer, I'd worry. BMW is always looking for an excuse to void your warranty if you don't bring it in every 10,000k and pay over $500. every time. Never again. ::001::

::008:: So you ended up with a proper job and stickers thrown in for free. Sounds like great service to me.

I would have no hesitation in recommending you to you in the future. ;D
