the security torx bits I have don't fit the one end of the side case mounts. I have a T-50 and thought it was the right size but it doesn't fit. The T-50 I have doesn't have a hole in it. What size is this bolt? and security bit?

The hole in the center makes it a security bit. There are regular torx bits and then there are the security ones with the hole in the center. Sounds like you have a regular set. You need a T-50 security bit. Check out Harbor Freight for a cheap set or any automotive store should have them too.

If you're anything like me, you've never needed the security bits. You will also need them for installing the locks on OEM boxes. My dealer tech was nice enough to just let me use his bits for the install at the dealership.

thanks for the info. I went on amazon and ordered a set of Security Tamper Proof 6 point Bit Set Torx Socket Tamperproof. The T-50 I needed wasn't the right size. I think Amazon set me the wrong set. nothing in that set fit that bolt.

Dude i have been trying to solve this myself and i have. What you need is a T50 6 point security torx bit, some of them are 5 point and wont fit.
I got a very cheap set there is 5 of them, you should have no problems over the water getting one.
