I'm trying to get info on T-Rex Racing's Tenere parts. The search engine rejects the term T-Rex; "The search could not be completed because the search keywords were too short, too long, or too common."

Odd because most search engines accept words more than three letters long. No prob searching this term on advrider.

*edit - It doesn't accept the dash as a letter. The dash actually means to exclude what's after it.* Still, you have one letter, and a three letter word. Neither will work well in the search engine. Try skid plate instead. Even though the T-rex company has been around for a while, oddly the skid plate only recently appeared on this forum. Only one fellow that I recall reported buying one so far.

I tried searching for any info on their skid-plate that I could possibly find....................Ended up with nothing.
I couldn't even find any hint anywhere of anyone that said they bought one.
I looked at it for awhile, and was up in the air to purchase either an ACD-Racing one, or the T-Rex Racing one.
They both claimed to have a Black-Friday sale going, and I originally tried to buy the ACD Plate, but their website would not cooperate with me at all..................I took a chance and bought the T-rex one, and am happy to say that I'm quite pleased with it.
As far as I know, I'm the first one that posted anywhere that purchased one...........
If you have any questions about it, just ask and I'll give you any details you might need.
I'm on the fence about their crash-bars.............When my tax-money comes back at me, I'll be buying either those or Alt-Rider ones.

Thanks for your kind offer. I saw your pics on advrider and the plate looks great. The sole remaining question I have is whether it's compatible with my altrider crash bars. I watched their install vid and it seems so. What do you reckon? Altrider's instructions are at the link below. Thanks.

You're right, typing in trex brings up a couple mentions of their products.

twinrider - While the new forum software solved a BUNCH of big problems, we're aware that it so far doesn't do short searches and will frequently just take searches to the home page. As Eric wrote the "-" tells the search to EXCLUDE a term so it's something else to watch for.

Sounds like you are in good shape now though for at least the skidplate.

There is always the option of searching from Google as well. Just type in the search term followed by "site: yamahasupertenere.com", and it usually returns the best hots. I did this with "T-Rex" and the first thread in the results page was the thread about the skid plate, followed by this one.

I have the T-Rex Axle sliders and they are pretty darn nice. Another forum member here ( SkunkWorks) just bought and reviewed the skid plate. Looks like they also manufacture crash bars as well. Their website is here:

Yup, those posts are mine as well.
I posted it over there too.
Nice review you have:
