In my old (sold) Super Tenere's had excellent results with ROC-Stompa steering dampener made in Australia ... emailed them requesting if they had plans for the new S10 and answered that NO in the near future ... I still have their Pro dampener and will hold to it until they come with a way to install it on my S10 ... http://rocstompa.com/products/

I have managed to locate a new triple clamp that accommodates a Scott's.

I bought the whole kit except for the Scotts unit because it is less expensive to by the Scotts in North America than pay for shipping a Scotts back and forth to Europe..

When I get it mounted I will post up some pictures

I bought the adjustable triple clamp
I was thinking in doing the same buying the whole thing, but now I realize I could have asked OTR if they would sell the triple clamp on its own. How much did they charge you for the piece? How much would be the Damper in the USA? I mean, how much are the savings?

Will you post the pics also of the triple clamp?

Is your bike a 2014 also? It's a pity because the triple clamp and handlebar clamps on this new model are totally separable, as the one we are talking about here.

Please let us know about the triple clamp. OTR is a fine company, but a bit pricy.

Finally do you know the model of Damper and it's price?

Looking forward.

that is a handsome piece of manufacturing, however could you explain why you think the Super Tenere needs a steering stabilizer?

Yea, it doesn't exactly have street bike turn in. Big ole dirt bike turn in. Probably why the press hates it and I love it.

To be honest to use a damper in a 19 inch front wheel bike plus the low center of gravity of the XT1200Z, makes the use of the Damper less important than with taller bikes.

Nonetheless, once installed, driving hard on crappy roads is smoother and more stable, not to mention a over debris and rocks on tarmac, counter steering is a more than a pleasure. I want to have a inbound-outbound damper with individual buttons like the rallemoto or the Scott.

Sure hope my remark didn't come across as derogatory.
And I wasn't real fond of the stock suspension either. Obviously. :)

No I won't explain, because I don't get into endless debates on the internet about my views on motorcycle set up.

I already went though that once here, after i stated that I had never even ridden my Tenere with the stock suspension, because stock suspension is shite.

That post created enough mindless discussion, internet indignation and general cattiness (see above) to last me two lifetimes.

I posted the follow up, because a few of us had exchanged PM's about the Scott's and the lack of proper mount and I wanted to let them know a source was now available.
hmmm... OK then , rather than your long public post why didn't you just continue to PM the interested parties and save yourself the internet grief you seem to be experiencing. You do realize using language like "stock suspension is shite" and "mindless discussion" is not a way to invite people to participate in a meaningful discussion. Blanket statements like yours convey a certain arrogance and can piss people off. Surely you were not naive enough to think people might disagree with your assessment about the stock suspension.

Anyway, looks like one of the other posters didn't have a problem providing his opinion on the need for a stabilizer.

I use my ROC Stompa on my XT1200Z and has saved me quite a few dust bytes ... not necessary to connect on every day use but its a life saver on agressive off road with my 21 inch front and 18 inch rear ... your arms will be grateful and the confidence of preventing shimming and handlebar jerks will make your ride a pleasure
Cheers,
Roberto
