I'm not around here much anymore, but am glad to see my rear wheel removal and replacement pictorial thread is still useful 4 years and almost 30,000 views later.... :)

The companion front wheel thread is up to 17,000 views and the SW-Motec skid plate install pictorial which was stickied is up to 31,000 views and got me some goodies from Twisted Throttle for permission to use it. All three threads still seem to be useful based on the comments they get, which is pretty remarkable. Warms my heart a little bit.

These were all written when we were all new to the bikes and new accessories were hitting the market daily. Apparently now the SW-Motec Skid Plate actually comes with instructions. That was not the case in the beggining. :)

I got the Super Tenere outfitted and rode it a year before my wife picked up hers. We both rode them a fair amount until this last year when seem to have gravitated back to our old BMW RTs. I put new tires on my Super Tenere a year ago tomorrow, and they have just under 300 miles on them. Time for them to find new homes.

I was active on the forum here for about two years but became less and less active primarily because of what I perceived as an atmosphere of bullying and trolling. I wasn't here to butt heads. Looking in today I see the forum is getting some much needed moderator attention and a little more developed structure. I would need to stay a while and look aroun to see if the atmosphere has improved, but I hope it has.

The Super T is a great bike and it deserves a dedicated following.

I've only been here about 6 months but found some of your old threads very helpful , thanks for you and the wife's very good work posting them ! Bullying I haven't noticed, moderators seem to do a pretty good job moderating the board. Lots of helpful stuff on this board once you learn how to find it, every little bit helps.

Been a while, good to see you, sad to see you selling. Yep, most all of the head knocking has dissipated. It took a while. We've got a top notch crew supervising the playground now.

The wheel removal threads are awesome. I have them saved in my "favorites", helps in keeping the money saving DIY tire change just that...

Glad to see you back to at least pop in. And yes, it took a couple of tries for us to learn to not wait so long to push the "jettison" button.

Any chance the post would ne available with the pictures in a pdf or Word? The pictures aren't available anymore but they would be very useful.

You might want to message him. He hasn't been on here since July of last year.

Years ago I copied the information from Twistie's post, including the photos, into a document so I would have it handy. I still have the photos from his original post on my computer. I also have one from another member who posted about the rear wheel removal. I'll put them all together into a PDF and post it here.

Probably not, unless somebody like RCinNC can help. The problem is that a lot of us were using the photo hosting site called Photobucket because it was free. Photobucket changed policy overnight to charge a lot for hosting and so the links to all those photos became invalid.

I've attached a PDF that has the original photos and text from the front and rear wheel removal and installation posts that Twisties made some years back. I did some editing to correct some of the glitches that occur when you cut and paste text and photos from a forum posting into a document, but the text is comprised entirely of Twisties' version of the wheel removal and re-installation.

Hope this helps.
