First up I need to introduce you to Jeff.
Him and his wife dropped by our house last Tuesday evening and took Baby Blue for a ride.
They bought one on Wednesday.
We went for a ride Friday evening after work.

He is going to be fun to ride with.

Then today Michelle and I took off riding for the day.
Windy, Windy, Windy!!!

It was still a blast.
Lots of new places and good roads.

Some water crossings.

Stopped here for lunch.
No one else around.

Remote roads.

And last Iowa's own little Cypress Swamp.

Thanks for reading.
Steve

Friday morning before work I left home two hours early to go looking for dirt to play in.
I found lots of new dirt roads and had a lot of fun before going in to prison {work}

Then I came across the best road of the morning, I was stopped at the Skunk River by a wash out and a downed tree.
I need to go back with a chainsaw to open the road back up.

Thanks for reading
Steve

It's that time of year again to get out and explore IOWA,

An absolutely fabulous day for a ride.
Found lots of new places to explore.

This was one of my greatest finds out in no-mans land.

Then it was off to find a Bridge with absolutely no way to even see it.
This is a very rare remote bridge with no access at all.
I was just in the right place and meet the right guy at the right time to gain access to the bridge.
Don't even ask me where it is ,,,, I can not tell you.

I hope I can take Michelle back in there to see it some day.

And the day just wouldn't be right without lots of DIRT. "IOWA DIRT"

Get out there and ride.

Really good to see your weather broke. Now you dont have to cross states to ride. Nice back yard!

Today was a great day to do some Iowa exploration.
We are trying to work out the bugs on our bike set up for vacation this summer, and I put on the Caribou rear box for more capacity.
It,s just not working out though, I can’t move it rearward enough for Michelle’s liking.
I think next we will try a medium Moto Fizz for the rear .

This was in Shimek St. Forest

We are always bridge hunting.

Hope you all got out for a ride today.

I have request to keep adding to this thread from Iowan's ,so I'll try to get out and ride more.

It might not of broke 32*F today but it was great riding.
I headed over to Burlington to look for Srarr's Cave. I had never been there but it was well worth the ride.
I should have come here with the kids before they closed it.

A different sign said it has been closed since 2010

Then on the way home I stopped by Lake Geode St. Park.

Today I found a great new bridge that is a little hard to get to.
Joey [son-in-law] told me about it a few weeks ago.

Then I stopped by the Air Power Museum in Drakesville, Iowa.
It's free and they have a lot of old air power to look at.

I might have started this rumor, but rumor has it that this never got off the ground due to a final drive failure.

Lets see it's only 4:00 pm , I need to get out there and ride.

It was nice out today and I went over to Osceola, Iowa and checked out the new Motorcycle Museum. It's even free.
On the way I rode all kinds of remote roads.

This is the only Bultaco I could fined Fred.

Been a while since I've added to this thread.
Went out today looking for arrowheads, Agency,Iowa is an old indian agency and there was a reservation just south of there.
I found a nice arrowhead there a few years back.

I never had any luck today, But in the area is the old Ghost Town of Alpine.
I first seen the place about 50 years ago and it had plenty of junk buildings back then.
Not a lot left anymore.

This is all that's left of the rail tracks.

My uncle says he can remember the train going past Alpine when he was a kid.

Not a lot of information on Alpine either.

Then up the road in Agency, I stopped in at the Chief Wapello gravesite.
