Thanks all.

And yes, those are highway pegs. I'm not sure what kind. OKDQ said they were made by someone who makes them for BMW. They seem to be very good quality - I just need to find a comfortable place to put them. They're "ok" where they are - but the crash bars require them to be a bit wide and high. But glad I had them yesterday...

Speaking of yesterday. My "fly and ride" from Colorado Springs to Oklahoma City was full of flight cancelations and delays. I got to the hotel about midnight. OKDQ picked me up at 0800 for the 5 minute drive to his house. After loading up and putting on the pegs, I left at about 0900 CST.

After riding the 596 miles back to my house yesterday (10ish hours), I think I can say highway miles are no problem. Seat was just fine quite honestly. On the GS I rented 2 weeks ago, my left knee felt a bit kinked after a few hours. No problem on the ST. Seat is in the low position, I'll likely try the high position today. No back pinching or pain. Rode in tour mode - all stock- more than enough power to pass easily (of course).

My only gripe, and this is skewed coming from a F6B with a MadStad... I got pounded by the wind all day. Admittedly, riding at 75 across the plains of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado on a windy day is always rough, but fighting the wind for 10hrs was pretty tough. I'm not sure how much was the stock windscreen and how much was the wind, but I felt like I was going to be lifted off the bike all day.

The MadStad I ordered should be here soon, and the bike already has the winglets on it.

All in all, very happy so far.
