No letter yet but my Yamaha dealer told me about it and it's all done.

Not a big number but it's good to see that Yamaha is on top of things

What sort of scale is this job ?

I have zero confidence in the local dealer, last time I took my WR450 in there were so many loose fasteners on to when it came back I was horrified.

Just wondering if it is something I can trust them with, or if I need to take it to Perth

The details are in another thread, but the part number for the kit is a new part number which includes the new harness and some other misc stuff like clips and tie-wraps. The new harness has a different part nunber from the kit.

Had it fixed under the recall two weeks ago. Had to initiate the process myself by going to the dealer. Yamaha Australia never notified me.

Got mine done today at Joes Motorcycles in Canberra. They did a good job. Replaced one of the H7 globes and one of the parking light globes. And they even found my custom high beam trigger wire for my LED light bar and re-fitted it to the new harness. Most impressed with their work. Zero cost to me, didn't even charge for the globes.

I had mine done last week. 35 minute job.

I was a bit concerned about them fiddling with the headlight wiring because the front of my bike looks like this:

No problems, because they didn't need to remove the aux lights.

I have the Yamaha crash bars. Another customer came in for his a few days before and they had to remove the crash bars to get the side panels off apparently. Not sure what brand he had.

Holy Moly ??? ??? ??? ??? Those will definitely light up the night. Hope the stator can handle all those lights.

Is your bike nicknamed "Ned Kelly"? Has to be with that windscreen. Even better if you cut a little slot in it. Outstanding!
