I just came back from giving it a good thrashing. Big smile. Thing is with this bike it just doesn't do anything to make you not like it. You really have to want another bike to change it.
Yup, that's where I'm at. I don't understand being bored with a bike that does everything that I need/want it to. Throw in the reliability, and cost to boot. Finding the right tires is my only concern.

So just a quick update for those interested but I finished the break in period, did the service and then went on a 1300 km trip up to Tobermory. I am currently averaging 5 L/100km which was a little better than what I was getting out of the stock Tenere where I got 5.1. After getting the Tenere flashed and dyno tuned it did bring it down to 4.7 L/100km and I would suspect that after another couple of thousand km's I will get slightly better mileage but only marginally. Overall though pretty much the same. I do have to say how super smooth and comfortable this bike is though. For me the seat is the best stock seat I have ever had but it really does need a bigger windscreen, even on the tall setting it only comes up to about my chin at best and probably closer to my second chin. Plus it is really narrow and needs to be a bit wider.

Ameen, it is such a great feeling to totally forget about the bike and focus more on maps and trails to explore...I guess that is why I am stuck in my 2012 one...made me totally disconnected from dealers, trends etc...yet plenty of unforgettable memories...will continue riding it until it decomposes....

Absolutely. Don't take my satisfaction/love of my Tenere as a slight against your Tiger. Hopefully you're as satisfied with yours, as I am with mine.
Thanks but I didn't take it that way at all. Am I satisfied with mine? Honestly it is too early to say, I really feel that you need to have at least 15,000 or 20,000km on it to have made that decision because it takes time to get it set up the way that you want it. For me it checks a lot of the boxes I was looking for and am very satisfied with it right out of the box. Time will tell for the ultimate decision.
