Wow, mine was white like snow. Are there some additives that cause this or do you have other fuel than we do on this side of the globe?

No idea, maybe we have dirty fuel compared to the other side of the globe?????? Inside the tank is clean as new so not a rust issue.
How many miles do you have on the S10?…do you ride a lot on dusty roads?

Australia has soils rich in iron (oxidized iron ore is typical of soils that are more reddish than normal, soils with less iron are amber). When the iron oxidizes, it will transform into a cation with a + charge (ferrous oxide), and it will tend to be attracted through electrostatic current by surfaces with negative charges (in this case, let us put the fuel pump as it is made of plastic, it tends to accumulate static current)….the liters of fuel consumed in your S10, was contaminated with 3 liters of air with suspended particles(aprox). 1 liter when the truck unloaded at the fuel station, 1 liter when you refueled at the same station, and the last liter when it came out of the S10 tank. If you live in an area where there is a lot of dust in suspension (even if you don't see it)... that dust ends up in the fuel, and if that dust has high iron content (ferrous oxide)... in the sum, the contamination will tend to to be reddish.
Stefan,…he hardly has as much dust in suspension as you.
I think the third anticovid dose, burned my brain:)

I am the second owner and it has about 56,000 km on it.

Far as I know neither the first owner or I have done much dirt travel on it.
I have used a little fuel stabiliser in it, but only once or twice.

One thing I was thinking is 95RON is not commonly used mainly Regular 91RON and Premium 98RON. This may mean the fuel is not as fresh or nozzle as clean as the other fuels. This may account for the moth in the tank, it was in one piece until I tried to pull it out. :) 66323692568__3798DFA6-9638-4C31-8EBC-EC65D47201F8.jpeg.

Talked to a mechanic mate and he warned about most pumps have a hidden internal fuel filter.
The pump makes funny noises when hot so I got a new pump just in case.
So out with the pump again. Well I found the internal filter.

See the filter down the hole on the side?
Flushed it out with carb cleaner and flushed out LOTS of black crap.

This is some of it, I collected a jar full of it before it came clean. I flushed it back and forth many times helping it with a bit of compressed air.

While in there I figured I might as well fit the new pump and strainer on the bottom.

HOWEVER I forgot to remove the pump to tank o-ring before washing so now it has expanded so it doesn't fit. :-(
More parts....
