That's tough stuff this time of year! Took it twice in 2 days with rain, wind, and misery, same as a few years ago. Although beautiful, I couldn't take my eyes off my lean. Like a non-stop Leo Frigo in your neck of the woods. Such a great part of the country.
I have taken that exact route a few years ago except I went over going to the sun road instead of staying on 2 at Glacier National Park. Stopped at Kalispell Montana. I found it to be very pleasant riding on that trip. I was in east Montana last year and it was very nice then too! Now crossing Mid South Dakota every time I am up there it is crazy windy but nothing as bad as crossing Kansas. I think the only reason Kansas was worse is because it is all the way across the state. It seems in South Dakota it is only windy in the middle of the state. In any case I enjoy seeing our great country and getting to ride my bike to do that!
