Hello All
Just had to give my 2013 S10 a shout out, I've had it out in the dirt maybe 5 times now and it just blows me away every time what a good dirt bike this thing is. Last Saturday I went out to test my new E0-7s and 2 inch Rox risers I had just put on. It was a perfect low 70s day so I headed out to Stampede Reservoir outside of Truckee Calif. via Dog Valley road. I headed over to the reservoir first and found it down a fair amount , which was a pleasant surprise cause I got to practice riding in the loose rock and sand that made up the exposed shoreline , too much fun. The more I ride this bike the more I am impressed by its offroad capabilities,it is faster than I'll ever be at this point in my life( I am 54), I have been a fairly fast offroad rider at various points in my life but now I am just content to cruise on this bike at relatively slow speeds. I headed back into Dog Valley to a trail that I knew was rocky as all get out( I put a picture of part of it in the post), so I could test out the spoked wheels. The main reason I bought this bike was for the spoked wheels, I put a decent size flat spot in my V-strom front mag with a small impact with a rock on a dirt road, so i was curious to see how much abuse these rims would take. I am happy to report that after the ride the rims both spun perfectly true, I feel confident that they can take more abuse than I will ever ask them to . If any of you guys live around Reno , NV or in Northern Calif. I am always looking for riding partners. TTYL
