My schedule changed. I'll be leaving Portland on June 14th-ish. I need to reach Fairbanks by 22nd, by way of Inuvik if possible. Maybe add Telegraph Creek in there too...

Two of us that are going to the gathering for July 1st are doing the ride to Deadhorse first. Aiming to be there for June 21st., then make our way south through Alaska and on to Whitehorse.
We should be able to give those that are heading up after the gathering a firsthand report on the ride and conditions. ::001::
Did the Dempster in 2010 and the post regarding the lack of traffic and remoteness is very true. And you will never be so tired after getting off a bike not because of physical exhaustion but due to the concentration level required to keep the dirty side down.
It will be good to get an up-to-date report. I'm still on the fence about which (if any) ride to take, but the more I read, it sounds like Inuvik can be more of a challenge than Deadhorse........

Did Deadhorse one time solo and one time two up. Both times on a FJR 1300.
Piece of cake. More pavement every year. Now Inuvik ---- That sounds like fun.

You can't tease us with info like this without an intro and pictures, lets see some from the Dalton.

Interesting.....

How about posting an intro over in the "Member Intros" section of the Forum. Also, please add your location to your profile.

Thanks!

Tomatocity, I'm planning on going from Whitehorse to Dawson then Fairbanks and then north to Deadhorse :)

On the way back from Deadhorse I will comeback to Fairbanks and then continue on the Alaska Hwy south back to Whitehorse most likely, but I'm still open.

Further south I will go through Jasper and Banff before heading into Montana to hit Glacier NP.

I also don't want to go alone to Deadhorse ;)
Lets keep in touch about Deadhorse. ColoRider might also be interested and I am guessing other riders might want to see Deadhorse.

Yes, weather (and money) permitting, I'd like to make the Deadhorse run.

Several of the main roads in the Yukon and Alaska are currently closed due to landslides and washouts.
Check the road conditions before you go.

CANAK has 25 days to repair the roads before most riders are headed North from the Yukon.

Where do we find the link for road conditions for the roads to Whitehorse?
