I am in the midst of replacing a bulb for the right front turn signal. They are stock bulbs. Has anyone gone with brighter bulbs? Any suggestions or recommendations would be helpful.

Depends how much you want to spend. If you want brighter, you can get that with LEDs. And if you replace those gargantuan blinkers with something sleeker, I think it improves the look. And riding at night, I didn't like the way the light from the stock blinkers messed with my vision.

I replaced my 2012's blinkers with the Yamaha LED ones (Yamaha part #YME-W0789-00). Note that Yamaha doesn't sell those in the US, so options are ebay, a non-US seller that will ship here, or an aftermarket alternative (like this https://www.customled.com/products/motorcycle-led-blinker-light-compact-universal-fit-v1-pair). If you go with LEDs, you need to solve for the quick flash issue. Resistors are a pain in my opinion (although the Yamaha kit comes with them). I went the easy route, an electronic flasher relay. I have the one from Customled, and it's still going strong after six years (https://www.customled.com/products/elfr-1-electronic-led-flasher-relay).

On my previous 2013 Tenere the right bulb simply quit working so I took it out to see what it looked like before buying a replacement bulb, after I reinstalled the bulb it worked again so I never had to buy one.
