I get that but we were making the electronics back then Triumph must be using the same stuff as everyone else now.Well the older I get the more things stay the same. Triumphs with electrical problems. They have had forever to figure that shit out. I don’t know 50 60 years.
My buddy with the Tiger wasn't really able to tell me what happened, 'cuz he didn't really understand it. But it was electrical, and he was told that it was pretty common. It took quite a while to get the part and bike fixed. And this was way before Covid, so supply chain issues weren't to blame. On the bright side, he's never had another problem with the bike since.I’ve never heard of this issue happening to a Super Ténéré, nor any other modern bike.
Glad I sold my Triumph. Although i would say the paintwork was way better than the S10. It's more durable for our weather ( if you can call it that )not heard of anybody have a rectifier issue with a s10 and had mine 9 yrs now, just battery and starter relays and thats only a few and the odd uk bike LIKE F--KIN MINE lol
