I don't know what the width difference is between those Holan's and the Givi Trekker Outback's, but can say that the Trekker's are infinitely better in every way to the Holan Nomada's (non Pro) I used to have
Almost 7 inches wider and more asymetric. I really spend most my time on the street. If i ditch my OEM panniers, in sure the holans will be better.

I see happy trails is offering panniers and racks package for 555. Looks like a good deal other than the latches. Do they're boxes seal well?
Are they quick detach?

I had caribou cases on a 2003 bmw gs since 05, used them for sixty thousand miles. When I sold the beemer the guy didn't the cases. Got my S 10 had to buy new case mounts, me thinks they were givi rapid release. Had to drill new holes in the cases, I now have 30k on the S10, new setup for the givi mounts was around two hundred. Long story short close to 100k fifteen years and two bikes later and still no leaks! I saw a lot of bikes in Tennessee at the fall rally were sporting caribous. Would be my first choice again if I had to buy again.

IMO, these are best bang for the buck. Not cheap but super functional. I have the Touratech racks and 35's mounted on my Tenere. It's close to 1200 bucks for the whole setup. I like the fact that you can get in and out of them almost as fast as the hard ones. And they also compress when not in use. You can also remove them quickly when not needed. I have locking straps which makes them as secure as any hard bag. When loaded up they are no wider than my bars.

This weekend I will be doing a test run with them all loaded down for camping. I'll post up some more detailed pics. In reality it will be very rare for me to camp off the bike. These will mainly be used for commuting and everyday use. I'm not much on loading the top down with cases and huge bags. I'm a off road rider at heart and like to move around on my bike. Also have the ability to bail off the back in an emergency.

Sorry for the off topic comment, but I like your crash bars......what brand are those?

Yes AltRider. And you can remove battery without messing with the bars on mine too. It is a puzzle though!
