One of my fork seals is leaking a a bit. I'll be in Bangor in about two weeks and hoping with some advance notice I can get in and out faster.

Thanks for the offer! I did think of the seal saver but don't have one with me. I hope to find a store and buy one tomorrow.

Well....it gets better. Now my headlights, high and low beam are out. Fuse is good.
I'm guessing my headlight switch, and 9 days of at least partial rain each day haven't mixed well.
I called Friend and Friend in Bangor hoping 4 days notice before I get there would help me get in, but no dice. I'll run with my driving lights on, I'm lovin this ride, life is good!

High and low beam are the same bulb, and I've had both bulbs burn out on a ride. H7 bulb available at Canadian Tire stores with a 2 year warranty. I'm assuming you are still in Canada?

I have always used an old piece of film negative. I know you won't have that on you, but any really thin piece of plastic will work as a seal saver.
I am in Halifax and on vacation all next week if you need any help. Liberty CC is the Yamaha dealer here in Halifax, but is closed until Tuesday. It is possible they might have a seal in stock? I can change it in my garage if you are still in the area and they can't fit you in.

Ditto on advice to pick up a bulb at Canadian Tire and try that first.

I took out one bulb and it looked ok.... but my eyes are getting older everyday.. I have one H7 with me, maybe I'll get the Canadian tire bulbs and give it a try. Yes, we're near Baddeck until the morning.

You guys are right I replace both bulbs at Port Hawkesbury and they're working. The fork seal will have to work can I get home. Life is good we're on the road again!
