First time to pull rear wheel for tire. After getting wheel free and clear I had a part I wasn't aware of hit the floor. Pretty sure it happened when I pulled the sensor plate from wheel....maybe. Heard it and then found a plastic piece that looks like and about the size of a valve stem plastic cover except it is smooth, no threads inside and a flat head. Does it fit into the hole located opposite of the hole where sensor goes thru when it's mounted?? Bike is a '16 non ES. I don't see that plastic piece on a parts fiche. Thanks

Is it chromed? Did you snap off the final drive vent cap by chance?

No it's a black plastic piece and the vent cap is fine. Beginning to think I picked it up riding and it lodged in the area of the caliper or rotor and was dislodged when I moved things around. I'll may get a pic and then hang it on the wall as a memento.
