So I get back to my bike and some twiddlefaart has stolen the plastic bolt cap off my left rear view mirror.
Now these little caps are held in place pretty tight, so it just didn't pop off while riding.

parts fische says no - I can only buy the complete mirror not the bolt cap!

Anyone have any ideas on a replacement?

A little screwdriver, and park next to another bike at night, then slowly wander over and pretend you are admiring it while prying off the caps, easy ::008::

Or failing that, something like this?

Well you don't quite need a screwdriver to pop it off but some one else has the same idea on mine!

unfortunately there is not too much space to enjoy the ribbed version.
i poped the other one off and it is just a slip fit.

I just had a look, and you are right, no space, what about the moldable silicon earplugs, that come in a ball and you roll then push into your ear? Never hardens, but will keep the rain and water out.........

I just pried mine out with my fingernail out of curiosity.

Surprisingly, our ACE Hardware has the best selection of little doc-dads like that. If that doesn't work and if you can't find it online, try a bike salvage place, as Yamaha is big on using little stuff like that across their product lines.

Thanks OldRider.. but do you know if it will fit?
I did a search but could not see any site listing specs.

The cap I need is 14mm.. That is the plastic cap has 14mm OD plug part.

Just have to find a 12/13 bike and see if the hole is the same as the 14/15. Someone on here should have both bikes handy.

Just ordered and received a couple of these plastic caps through Revzilla, February 2021. Yamaha Part # 23P-26133-00. Even though my bike is a 2018, and the individual part did not show on the fiche for that year, I just ordered caps for the earlier model ST and they fit.
