Longshot but doesn't hurt to try.

Stranded in Bridgeport, CA and need a 150/70-17 tire. Will buy anything you have new, used, street, big block, etc.

Ran it flat too long without realizing it and destroyed the sidewall. Got it plugged in 4 places but still wont hold air.

Ironically my next planned stop was Denver to pick up a set of tires. I could install a tube but wouldnt trust it for 1,000 miles to Denver.

I have one with a few thousand miles left that I can send you. Don't know if you want to sit still for a few days waiting for it to get to you.

I have a trailer in Carson City and could come rescue you and the bike, stay here overnight and look for new tires when the Yamaha and KTM dealers open up on Tuesday ?

try calling Chad Banta repairs in Bishop. He may be able to give you an idea where to find a tire somewhere along 395. (760) 920-3860

Good Luck

So this was the culprit. Looks like a husbandry hyperdermic, even the shank is metal. How convenient to create an air passage to drain tire. A nail or screw might not have leaked as fast. Sidewall has at least 8 more bad spots so tire is trash. Tire was smoking and burning hot when I finally pulled over.

Thanks Steve but quick check shows overnight freight from DFW higher than a new tire including overnight shipping from RMATV in UT.

Thank you so much for this offer. I would have taken you up on it yesterday. But I already had the bike towed (thank you AMA free roadside assistance) to motel today before I saw it. Overnighting a tire in tomorrow morning and heading east from Lee Vining inside of continuing north thru CC as planned.

Again thanks greatly.

Ordered tire already from RMATV so I will have it to install tomorrow morning.

Thanks to all for help and suggestions. Especially 'yobuddy' from advrider.

Tire received, mounted and back on the road late this afternoon. First street tire I've ever mounted, but it was cheap and 3k miles of pavement to get home now since I'm days behind schedule so no dirt detours. It felt a little weird at first with E-07 Dakar on front and smooth tire on rear. Kinda an imbalance thing but got used to it quickly.
