I thought I would post in this section about Rawhyde Adventures since it IS a rider's clinic. I had the opportunity to attend the Intro to Adventure Course 8-10JUN2018 in Colorado. I took the class on my 16 S-10, with all of the Beemer's and KTM's. I can't speak highly enough about the school and the instructors. It is a truly first rate organization. The curriculum is well thought out and follows a crawl, walk, run philosophy. The facilities are excellent and they do their level best to make sure that everyone is well taken care of and safe. The instructors present the material in an easily understandable format and conduct demonstrations prior to students beginning an exercise. They are all friendly, and approachable, and their main concern is that you enjoy yourself while you learn. You get tons of repetitions and the instructor to student ratio is excellent. I'm a law enforcement instructor in many disciplines and I can appreciate good teachers. I was a police motorcycle officer for years as well as a track rider. All of my experience was hardtop related so I went into this course as a newbie and came out feeling very confident in the dirt and on difficult terrain.

About the S-10... Freaking great bike for this type of stuff! I actually thought I was going to complete the entire course without a drop but Murphy showed up on the last exercise, sand, and I got pitched.

The course is spendy...$1395.00 for 2 1/2 days of instruction. However, that includes lodging and meals which really puts it in an affordable price range. The food is terrific too! If you are inclined to take instruction to increase your skills with these heavy bikes, give Rawhyde a look.
