So here is a picture of me on my old V Strom DL650A Adventure. Two things to take from the picture is one, it is raining and two I am smiling. Living in the deserts of the southwest it is pretty easy to avoid riding in the rain. I have missed bad weather most of my riding career. I got caught in a couple of monsoon downpours and I was quite frankly terrified. I told myself that I was going to learn to ride in the rain and embrace the experience. So when I knew it was going to rain I took the bike out to learn all the good, bad and ugly of liquid sunshine. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone makes you a better rider and more confident in your abilities. Other that riding in denim jeans this particular ride it was a blast. I know there are plenty of you Winter Soldiers out there so you know what I am talking about. I do the same with extreme heat and cold.
