I just received a Alpinestars one piece rain suit from Revzilla. I asked the gear geek if I could get it on over my size 12 boots before I ordered it. He said it would. It doesn't even come close to going over them. Anybody got any help?

If you put the suit on first, can the legs go over the boot shaft?

Yes. Taking off my shoes on the side of a wet road sux. Wet sox. Might end up a walmart
What about puting a slit at the cuffs just big enough to get over the boots? Then glue some velcro on either side of the slits. Make sure it overlaps front to back so as not to catch wind.

You can use whatever "anchor" that you wish. I'm going to continue using a belt.

Actually, if you put the slit on the very back side of the leg cuff, you might not even need anything to close the slit. Wind will push the pant leg against your leg, and keep it in place.

Yes…sometimes online shopping does not clarify all the information. Once I bought a first skin, with "anchoring" to prevent it from going up the back....what the page did not clarify, was where the first skin was anchored:):)

That is definitely a big issue and the geek gave you the wrong information ! Call them back and I’m sure Revzilla will even cover the return shipping cost, they will send you a return shipping label in email, at least that’s what Revzilla has done for me a couple of times.

I bet it has been over 30 years since I owned a decent rain suit. You would think with modern technology and design innovations things would get better. they just seem to get cheaper. Makes you wonder if the people who design things actually use them in the conditions they are made for.

I hate rain gear, won't wear it. Put it on take it off, sweat like a pig or freeze your arse, just as well throw a Glad over your body.
Ever considered good riding gear, you will never use rain gear again.
I use and trust in Klim and this is never an issue what ever the weather is.

I use Rukka textiles for winter and Rukka leathers for the summer. The leathers are gortex lined and supposed to be waterproof but I haven’t yet tested them in heavy rain. From what I can see Rukka occupy a similar price point range to KLIM but you need to go for the Gortex Pro models

What i like about the Klim is mine have no liners so you can layer up as you like.
