Question for current owners - how much do you feel the heat from the radiator? I've never quite seen radiator placement the way the Tenere does it (up high). How is the heat in general on the bike?

I have done almost 1000k’s on my ST and the longest continuous trip was about 200k's. I have not noticed the heat once and never even thought about it. It is winter here in South Africa at the moment (plus minus 20 deg C), so I am not sure what will happen on a really hot day.

All I can say is; this bike puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. For all you guys in the States that must wait so long for your rides, it will be worth the wait!

Tatooine (its real hot here).. no really Kent, UK
Yeah when I completed my test ride I made sure I rode through a busy town, loads or traffic lights with stop start and waiting around, as I said it was a nice summers day so if there was going to be an issue with heat venting I think I would have noticed it during the ride.

The only negative I really came up with was I found the throttle cable obscured the clocks, someone mentioned that they felt the cabling had been routed incorrectly though, until I see another Super Ten I would really know.

this is good news and the news i expected from a bike of this nature. ambient heat will rise in stop/go city traffic, but not to the extreme of say an ST1300 or the early generation FJR and C10.

Europe .... Made in Texas
I've used mine to commute into London quite a few times now. One of those times was the supposedly one of the hottest days of the year .... she does get hot in traffic and the fan kicks in on a regular basis. As to felt heat there is a small amount but nothing that you would not expect and certainly nothing that would cause discomfort.
