Radiator fan rotation direction

Replaced my radiator fan motor after I dropped it from my last off road adventure. Fan motor is from a 2007 FJ, all I did was splice the wires together as they matched in color. When the fan kicks in its pulling air out instead of pushing air into the radiator, is this correct or did I wire it backwards?

I have only had my tenere for 6 weeks and have been doing a few things here and there. I put in a switch that bypassed my fan relay so I can turn my fan on when ever I want, I cant afford the ecu reflash to lower the fan turn on temp yet. When I installed the switch I was surprised to find that the fan sucked air in instead of blowing it out. You would think that blowing it out would be more efficient. I have run automotive fans in both directions just by switching the wires so I dont think you would hurt it by switching the wires, but i think it will work better the way it is wired . Have you road tested it to see if it cools quickly.

Haven't done a road test yet. Just noticed when I was testing.

A radiator fan is supposed to blow air the same direction it flows through the radiator as you're riding it. If you run it the opposite direction, it will be fighting the incoming air. It will not be effective in boosting airflow through the radiator=less/no cooling.
