Noticed my fan started making noise when it starts up. Thought there was somehting caught in between but nothing was found. When the fan is spun by hand, I can hear the sound as the fan spins. So, I concluded that the bearing maybe on the way out. I was wondering if anyone here has the 'blower/fan unit' for sale. Thank you guys ... Oh, I'm assuming the fan unit would be a 'universal' fit over the range of models. Just in case, mine is a 2018 S10ES.

Ebay would probably be the fastest..... Or if you have time you can shop around the country, to motorcycle 'junk yards' from around the country. They will ship no problem.

Make sure the Radiator Fan mounting bracket is not slightly bent inwards, allowing the fan-blades to slightly rub on the radiator itself.
This may be what is causing your slight noise?
The bracket that the fan-motor mounts to is quite flimsy, and will bend really easily, especially if the bike was ever dropped on the left side.
It can easily be bent back outward to move it away from the radiator if this is in-fact your issue.

If it is the fan-motor making the noise as it spins, then Yamaha only offers the whole Fan/Motor/Bracket assembly. That is the only way they sell it.
I ordered one from Partzilla a year ago when I needed one (my motor was burned-out and would not spin). It took a couple weeks to arrive, but could be on backorder now possibly?

Thank you SkunkWorks, I verified that it wasn't the fan blade making contact with the radiator. Also, I removed the fan unit and spun it with hand it's sounds to be like the bearing in the motor maybe on the way out. I was able to acquire a fan/blower unit, some of those plastic push-in-pins and a replacement panel below the headlight for well less than the price the dealer was asking for just for the fan/blower unit from Partzilla.

Received my order from Partzilla and they were all genuine Yamaha parts, packed in Yamaha packages. All parts fit right onto the bike...very satisfied customer here! I'll be getting probably all of my parts from them in the future.
