Question about pannier gasket material

I've got a couple of those Chinese import Pelican knockoffs (Duratool, to be specific), and I was going to replace the gaskets in them since they're about eight years old and don't seal as well as they once did. Obviously I can't get actual replacement parts, so I wanted to just source some bulk gasket material and make my own. Trouble is, I'm no expert on this type of material, and I'm not even sure what the gasket is made of. I have no idea of it's durometer; it's pretty soft and easy to pinch between my fingers, so I'm guessing it's not even 40A. Based on it's appearance and description, can anyone make an educated guess as to what type of rubber (or other compound) it could be made of? There are all kinds of gasket material on line (rubber, EPDM, silicon, polyurethane, neoprene.....), and I'm not sure which one to go with for this application. I've looked at my usual go-to material supply companies (Grainger and McMaster Carr), and neither seem to have something similar to this stuff. Can anyone here suggest a supplier?

The gasket is rectangular in cross section, and is .3" wide and .23" high (7.6mm W x 5.9mm H).

I would try an auto shop 1st and then maybe an upholstery shop. Or Amazon has a ton of different kinds. My guess would be silicon or rubber.

go to home depot and look in the window seal aisle. there is window seal that's black foam rubber with a peel and stick back. you can get varying thickness and widths.
will be more than suitable for your application. I use it quite often to seal my sand blaster cabinet doors, and that takes a ton of abuse

I think it is around a shore A20 and maybe silicone? EPDM doesn’t remember the dent/shape that is in there from closing I believe. Looks a hell of a lot like what we use to seal the evaporator at work. Only different shape, but that’s not important.
