Any suggestions as to the best place to order a Pyramid Plastics Fender Extender from ?
On eBay and Amazon the ones shown look to be questionable and I doubt that they are true Pyramids.

I got mine from RevZilla in June 2018 for $34.95. That's strange, neither RevZilla nor Twisted Throttle have them listed now.
RevZilla has a Puig for $50 - link

The one on Amazon looks legit to me. link

If you plan to use this with a skid plate and are not aware of the dangers of using this with a skid plate then you should research this.

I have installed a Fenda Extenda on both my VStrom and Super Tenere.
I don't care for the method of drilling holes in the fender and using plastic rivets as described in the instructions.

Both the Puig and Pyramid Plastics extenders are ABS plastic, as is the fender. So I just use ABS cement, or the Oatey All Purpose Cement for use on all classes of ABS, PVC and CPVC pipe.
I've used just the PVC cement on ABS before and had good results but for the fender I use one of the other cements.
Remove the fender, then dry fit it to the fender first, just to get a feel for how it fits together.
Coat the areas of contact with the cement then hold it in place until it cures.

It helps to use some plastic clamps like this --> Bessey, Assorted Light Duty Plastic Spring Clamps - link

I am running an ACD Racing skid plate and from the research I have done and the inquires I have made on this forum and over on ADV Rider a Pyramid Fender Extender on a S10 with an ACD will work.

I and Checkwrecks believe them to be a safety issue. I just threw one away that was on my bike I bought used and threw another one I had bought for a previous S10 away. They can pick up debris on road to lodge in against wheel (CW's experience) and in my case in an emergency stop I compressed the front forks enough to get the extenda over my oil filter cover on a TREX skid plate. If I was off road I doubt I could have controlled the bike.

Look for a thread from Bimoto or someone from the UK called plug guard. Novel solution for water up and atop the engine.

The Fenda Extenda will clear under most circumstances, but "most" is the key word. Guarantee it will pucker your butt when the Extenda catches the skid plate. I've posted the photo of mine when caught a number of times here and on ADV.

I just installed the Extenda Fenda earlier this week and I did check before final attachment (with ABS plastic specific cement) that
there was a decent amount of clearance with the ACD throughout the turning radius and when compressing the front forks under my own weight.
Real world usage to be tested when I go for a ride on the slab and on a tame dirt trail.
Not too concerned about real off road since I do not really ride there...... yet.

This was not off road, this was on a highway at night. The tire picked up a scrap of rubber road debris. Probably less likely with the ACD (I have one on the current bike, the photo is the old bike) but I'm not risking that again.

All I can say is I ride sober and it happened to me. I hope it does not happen to you. But I love TREX and being able to put highway pegs way out in front.

What is the purpose of the extender? All I can think of is keeping splash off the front of motor.

I put a Pyramid on my 15‘ a few years ago because I thought it would help with the mud on a dempster trip. Somewhere on the Yukon Highway, I hit a good sized pothole. I am not sure if the extender hit the altrider skid plate or what, but it was a pretty hard hit. The fender extender was torn off, made a lot of noise and really shook me up. Luckily no other harm to the bike was done. As soon as I got off the Dempster, I washed the inch of mud off my engine and it all looks like new! YRMV but I will never put one on again.
