Yup, I installed my SW Motech crash bars on my new tenere. I had SW Motech crash bars on my Africa Twin as well.

For handguards look at the sets from Bark Busters or Hepco & Becker.

Which one, can really depend on what kind of riding you are going to do with the bike. Just road, or some/lots off road? Lots of stuff on this site with a simple search. I like my Alt Rider bars, and bash plate. Both has seen some abuse, and protected the bike.

Also, please be sure to give us a general idea of where in the world you are. Most of the members are US based, but we do have members from around the world, and including your location will help, since not all products are available everywhere.

Sorry to hear about the drop. Please put your location in your profile. As AVGeek said, it really helps to give context to your posts and helps others give better answers to any questions you may have.

The factory handguards are actually quite tough! My Gen I 2012 bike survived many drops with just the factory handguards and they never were damaged beyond minor scratches. On crash bars, there are many good products, but as others have said, a good answer will depend on what you do, what kind of riding you like, road and light gravel, off pavement, real off road, etc.

Keep posting and make sure to turn notifications on so you know when someone has replied to your posts.

Don't know about handguards, but regarding crash bars, I'm a huge fan of the Rumbux full-spec 3-piece kit that gives you both upper and lower crash bars, as well as an incredibly beefy skid plate. Talk to EricV (who replied above) about purchasing them!

Regrettably no longer being made.

Unfortunately, they are not. The web site is still up, but there is no product being made. If Rumbux was still in production, I'd still be importing and selling them. Rumbux is still a company, but with very little staff, maybe 3 people now. They did have random stock left, but to my knowledge no longer have any Full Spec kits and are doing zero manufacturing now. They have moved into a R&D role, doing that for other companies. If you contact Rumbux, Deon Lak, the owner, typically will forward your contact email to anyone he things may still have stock. In the US, that's myself and KTM Twins as we were the only regular importers.

I still have 3 sets of Endurance Rear protection/soft pannier bars for the Super Tenere, but what little other stuff I have is mostly KTM and a Full Spec kit for the Africa Twin + Rear bars.
