I also think of this like Car Talk. I read the problem Most of the time I just shrug my shoulders. Sometimes I come up with my solution and wait to see if I am right. Unfortunately I am not.

. . . . its Yamahas fault by not giving us new stuff to crow about (t700 not included ) . how about a TFT dash , more advanced ABS etc. whole new area of conversations . it could be.
Oh, we do crow about all that stuff. IIRC it starts about September or October . . . . about what we hope Mama-Yama does to our beloved Tenere. :D

I like reading the responses. Not because I have the problem but because I want to learn about it in case I do have a problem. Many of the things that I am learning about I wouldn't have even thought to ask/research to learn. I am still in the stage of I don't know what I don't know.

I've been in a Kawasaki Triples forum for over 20+ years and yes the same questions pop up on there every year (Why do I end up in the hedge on a set of twisty bends?, How do I remove my kids dead hamster from the airbox in one piece?), but some people (like me) want to learn how they work, issues others have had & how to modify / improve their bikes.

I've only had my 2010 Tenere for over a year and learned loads off this forum since I first logged in... if I'd have read about the early clutch & camchain death rattles beforehand I would of probably bought a later model, but hey, I like fixing & modifying so no big issue.
You can gain a fair bit of knowledge just by reading through all the questions & technical 'bumf' from over the years that others have asked about and avoid the pitfalls / f**kups that modifying or servicing your bike can bring.

'If you don't ask the question you'll never learn the answer' is what I used to tell my aircraft apprentices... and the answers I've seen on here are way more knowledgeable than the ones I've seen on Facebook thats for certain!

By the way, I have a problem... I keep finding neutral between 1st and 2nd gear... Is this normal?... My H1E triple has neutral at the bottom (N,1,2,3,4,5) ;)

Message TABASCO. He has a list of assorted parts for a clutch replacement. Some OE, and some after market. All your questions will be answered correctly.

There was a recall over a limited number of VINs for broken shift springs, at least for the 2015 models.
