I have a Motive Products pressure brake bleeder, and am looking to make some adapters for both the clutch and brakes. Since the reservoir covers are relatively inexpensive, I'm going to buy and modify OEM res covers.
Since I haven't opened up my reservoirs yet, which part does the sealing? I don't want to mess with making tiny gaskets. I'd rather modify an existing one.SmartSelect_20210422-132319_Chrome.jpg

Seems like overkill when a Mighty Vac does such a good job for single person bleeding as it is?

either way, #3 is your aluminum top cap - #4 is plastic (you'll need it as it has a rib around the outside edge which holds the rubber in place) - #5 is the actual rubber gasket/bellows that seals the master and allows the fluid level to drop if it does

Soooo, if'n I were doing it, I'd cut the rubber bellows with a big enough hole in center for the bleeder supply to go through, drill a large hole in the plastic to allow the bleeder supply to go through it as well, and finally drill the aluminum cap to receive any fitting you use?

Hope this helps, but in all seriousness I've been using the mighty vac for 20 some years with no issues at all

I already have the pressure bleeder. It works well for one man bleeding because it adds fluid to the reservoir. Less chance to make a mess or draw air into the system.
I don't like the vac since it can draw air through the bleed screw threads.
